Test Drive: Audi S4

Everyone seems to have a vehicle type that they are most interested in whether it is a sports car, a big SUV or a hybrid.  For our lifestyle, the midlevel sport sedans or wagons appeal to us most.  These are cars like Cadillac CTS, BMW 3 Series, Infiniti G37, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Audi A5 and a few others that fall into the $35,000 to $55,000 price range. He Said/She Said: Acura TSX

She – Acura TL has appealed to me being a nice size, but over its 13-year lifespan, the TL has grown to meet the perceived desires of the customers and as a result it has become larger and bulkier.

Needing a smaller more entry-level vehicle, about five years ago, Acura added the TSX sedan and like the TL before it, the second generation that debuted for 2009 has matured into a more substantial and sophisticated entry.  After driving the 2010 TSX, I find that I like the TSX better than the TL.  The size, agility and sporting nature along with nice styling and comfort makes me think it is just right. Test Drive: Porsche Panamera – as good as it gets

My job is the adult equivalent of a kid at Toys “R” Us.   I get to drive about 150 different cars each year, and like that kid clutching favorite toys while wandering the toy store isles, I mentally clutch my list of favorite cars.

Criteria for my list includes technological wizardry, performance, looks or comfort and in the case of the new Porsche Panamera – all of the above. Read the rest of this entry »
