GM Reimagines Head-Up Display Technology
General Motors R&D and several universities are working on a system that would use data gathered from an array of vehicle sensors and cameras and project images generated by compact ultra violet lasers directly onto the entire surface of the windshield. The GM team is working with Carnegie Mellon University and The University of Southern California, as well as other institutions, to create a full windshield head-up system leveraging night vision, navigation and camera-based sensor technologies to improve driver visibility and object detection ability.
GM Release details of Z06 Carbon Limited Edition
When the 2006 Corvette Z06 was introduced, it represented the closest connection to the Corvette race cars ever. The 2009 Corvette ZR1 closed the gap between racing and production even further. This year, Corvette continues its tradition of track-to-street technology transfer with the 2011 Corvette Z06 Carbon Limited Edition.

America (KMA), www.kia.com, has been named the highest ranked automobile manufacturer Web site in the most recently released J.D. Power and Associates 2010 Manufacturer Web Site Evaluation Study SM – Wave 1 (MWES). Kia ranked highest overall among manufacturer Web sites for usefulness in new-vehicle shopping, including navigation, speed, appearance and information/content. Kia.com is now a five-time award recipient of the J.D. Power and Associates MWES Award, ranking highest in 2003, 2005 Wave 2, 2007 Wave 1, 2008 Wave 2 and 2010 Wave 1, the most for any automobile manufacturer.
