Test Drive: Chevrolet Camaro SS Convertible

Getting the mail at the neighborhood box cluster often elicits comments about the car we are driving.   We have a few neighbors who know we write about cars, but there are others that probably think we are car dealers (or drug dealers that can afford to buy new cars each week).

The only comment we received on the Inferno Orange Metallic Chevy Camaro SS Convertible was from a four-foot tall boy running by the boxes, when we stopped, “I like your car.”  We’re sure there were many others peeking through their blinds and drooling.    Read the rest of this entry »

First Drive: Chevrolet Camaro Convertible

Built by a Bunch of Passionate Car People

San Diego, Calif. – Going to a new car introduction provides a different prospective than spending a week driving the car at home.  At most introductions, the auto companies bring in designers, engineers and other people responsible for the company’s latest creation.  It gives the journalists a chance to ask the “why” questions that don’t get answered by simply driving the car or digging through a press kit.

The Chevrolet Camaro Convertible introduction was no different, but one thing that stood out from the standard lines of discussion…these guys were more passionate about the products than the typical bunch of “internals” (people who work for the company). Read the rest of this entry »
